WARFARE IN BELFAST. SNIPING IN THE STREET. PANIC AMONG PEOPLE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received March 10, 5.5 pjm. London, March 9. Spasmodic firing has been continued in Belfast. A blind man was groping his way homeward with a boy when both were shot in the head, both dying. Three others were wounded by snipers who fired from the roofs of houses into Koya! Avenue. Panics were frequent among the pedestrians. Reinforcements for the republican forces have arrived at Limerick, but peace has been preserved. A republican manifesto states the occupation of the town is due to the fact that Mr. Mulcahy has broken his promise to keep the Irish republican army intact until the elections.
