New Plymouth High School defeated Wanganui College by ten wickets to-day. The college’s second innings realised 74, and New Plymouth scored the requisite 14 to win without the loss of a wicket. THE HAWKE CUP. NELSON v. MARLBOROUGH. Nelson, Last Night. A Hawke Cup cricket match, Nelson y. Marlborough, was commenced to-day in fine weather and on a good wicket. Marlborough’s first innings produced 129, and Nelson have eight wickets down for 194. FIXTURES FOR TO-DAY. “A” Grade.—The only competition match in this grade will be Waitara v. Old Boys at Waitara. Urenui are unable to play New Plymouth on account of the Waitoitoi races. Western Park have arranged a friendly game with Inglewood to be played at Inglewood. “B” Grade.—School II v. Waitara, at High School; Technical College v. New Plymouth, at Racecourse No. 2; School IH v. Old Boys, at Racecourse No. 1; Western Park v. Bell Block, at Bell Block. The Urenui—Harbor Works match will be played at a later date. The following will represent Western Park “A” against Inglewood: Robertson, Macdonald (2), Fairbrother, Elliott, Stevens, Scrivener, Palmer, Gray, Halley, Clarke, Russell, Simpson, Dinniss.
