CREDIT BALANCE SHOWN. LOSS IN SOUTH ISLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The railway working account for the period commencing April 1, 1921, to February 4, 1922, discloses that the total revenue from all lines in the Dominion amounted to £5,566,209 and the expenditure to £5,335.429, the credit balance being .£230,780. The revenue from North Island lines was £3,375,727 and the expenditure £2,982,986, leaving a credit surplus of £392,741. A loss, however, was shown on South Island lines of £161,902, expenditure being and the revenue £2,190,482.
