SHEEP-DOG TRIALS.
THE TARATA CLUB. The fourteenth annual meeting of the Tarata Dog Trial Club was held in the Tarata Hall on Saturday, March 4, and a fair number of members were present. In the absence of the president (Mr, H. Saunders), the vice-presi-dent (Mr. N. O’Shannessey) took the chair. Votes of thanks were passed, including thanks to the ladies for the work of catering for the last meeting, and to members and others who had helped to make a success of the last trials.
Regret was expressed at the resignation of Mr. H. Saunders, who has been president of the clu'b for some years past. Mr. H. Lambert was unanimously elected to take his place as 'president. Mr. R. Paterson was again elected patron of the club. After a hearty vote of thanks had been carried to the outfoing committee, a new committee was ormed.
It was decided to hold the trials on April 19 and 20. It was decided that the committee should get to work immediately to make this year’s trials a success.
