THE STOCK MARKET PRICES AT WESTFIELD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Prices at Westfield to-day were : Beef.—Very heavy yarding: prices if anything easier than those ruling last week; extra prime ox to 225, prime 18s to 20s, plain iCs to 18s per 1001 b., prime cow and heifer to 16s, light and aged down to 10s. Sheep.—Full yarding: prices about tho same as last week; extra prkne wethers to 235, prime to 21s, medium 17s to 18s, light and unfinished 15s to 16s 6d, prime ewes to 17s 9d, medium 15s to 16s, others down to 13s. Calves.—Full yarding; prices a shade firmer than those ruling lately; extra good vealers £2 15s to £3 6s, medium £2 to £2 10s, ordinary 25s 6d to 355, fresh dropped 5s to 7s. Pigs.—Very heavy yarding; prices up to last week’s rates; choppers £2 15s to £3 15s, baconers £2 5s to £3 10s, porkers 30s to £2 ss. Lambs.—Small yarding; prices advanced on last sale’s rates; prime to 20s, medium 16s to 17s 6d, otters down to 13s. LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London office under date 7th Inst.: “Wool sales opened; full attendance; competition fairly active. Prices, compared with preceding series, ruled in buyers’ favor for merino fine crossbred by 5 per cent, to 10 per cent, medium and coarse crossbred 5 per cent, to 7% P er cent.
