METHODIST CONFERENCE.
DEMAND FOR MORE CLERGY. FINAL DRAFT OF STATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March 6. The Methodist Conference passed a resolution to instruct superintendents of circuits to report to the board of examiners the number of prospective ministerial candidates in their circuits, ministers to be urged to be constantly on the watch for suitable young men, also making provision for the encouragement erf young men to come forward, and to endeavor to recruit candidates from. Bible classes and Methodist camps.

BUSINESS COMPLETED. | CELEBRATIONS AT WHANGAROA. Auckland, Last Night. The Methodist Conference has concluded. The following chairmen of districts were appointed:—Auckland, Rev. C. H. Laws; South Auckland, Rev. A. Mitchell; Taranaki-Wanganui, Rev. Grigg; Hawke’s Bay-Manawatu, Rev. T. R. Richards; Wellington, Rev. E. Drake; Nelson, Rev. W. Greenslade; South Canterbury. Rev. T. A. Jaughin.; Otago■Southland, Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt; Solomon Islands, Rev. J. F. Goldie. The overseas delegates were accorded a farewell by the conference and in the afternoon they were the guests of the Mayor and Mayoress at a conversazione in the—Town Hal). Tin members of the conference leave for Whangaroa, where the centenary celebrations will be continued on Wednesday. A memorial cairn will be unveiled by the Rev. Grainger Hargreaves, of England, and the foundation stone of the memorial chapel to the Rev. Samuel Leigh will -be laid 'by the president of the conference, the Rev. C. H. Laws. The Maoris of the district will entertain the visitors -.t luncheon in native style at a Maori camp.
