ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.

TARANAKI CHANGES. COMPARISON OF SIZES. The final touches to the work of the North Island Representation Commission has been completed by the issue of a supplementary gazette in which is contained the schedule setting out in detail the electoral boundaries of the North Island districts, and similarly the South Island has also been adjusted. In the Taranaki electorate the following changes in the polling places will take place: Pungarehu, Warea, and Newell will go into the Egmont electorate. The Puniho Road is now the boundary line between the Taranaki and Egmont electorates in the south. In the eaist and south-east ends Waiongona, Hursthouse Road, Egmont Village and Kaimiro will go into the Stratford district, the boundaries separating the Taranaki district from the Waitomo and Stratford districts being practically the liue between the Taranaki and' Inglewood counties. An interesting feature of the rearranged districts is the comparison of sizes, based on population. Taranaki is the largest, with over 1 6,000, Patea is near the 15,000 mark and Waitomo, Egmont and Stratford follow in that order. The population shown on the map accompanying the gazette gives the respective figures as follows: Taranaki, 16,378; Patea, 14,956; Waitomo, 14,640; Egmont, 14,143; Stratford, 14,114.
