THE HON. C. J. PARR.

A VISIT TO TARANAKI. The Hon. C. J. Parr, Minister for Health and Education, will visit New Plymouth and Stratford on Tuesday, March 14. The Minister has communicated with Mr. M. Fraser (chairman of the Taranaki Hospital Board) stating that he will open the new Technical High School at Stratford at 3 p.m. on March 14, and asking if it would be suitable for him to perform the opening ceremony of the new nurses’ home at New Plymouth at 11 o’clock that morning. Mr. Fraser has replied accepting this programme, and arrangements for the function will be put in hand immediately. Mr. Parr will arrive at New Plymouth by the Rarawa from Auckland and it is hoped to motor him to the mountain —probably making the trip from the boat, having breakfast at the mountain house and returning to New Plymouth in time for the nurses’ home ceremony. From New Plymouth the Minister will proceed to Stratford, where the school will be opened at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
