MEETING AT INGLEWOOD. The half-yearly meeting of delegates was held at Inglewood yester.day. Present: D.C.R. Bro. J. Andrews, S.D.C.R. Bro. F. Coleman, D.W. Bro. W. Draper, D. B. Bro. C. E. Harvey, D.S. Bro. Tunbridge Delegates: Bros. J. D. Murray (Opunake), A. E. Rogers (Eltham), E. Crossman (Inglewood), E. Kivell (Stratford), A. J. Way (Taranaki, N.P.), H. S. Tate (Waitara), I. E. Frewin and J. Cliff (Waireka), W. Rudge (Hawera), and Sis. Bridgeman (New Plymouth). An apology was received from Court Patea. Mention was made "in the d istrict offiber’s report of the substantia increase in district funds. Maternity claims paid totalled £546. Satisfactory progress had been made in the various Courts in membership, Courts Stratford with 34 and Waireka 28 showing most initiations. An effort is being made to make dilatory secretaries pay more attention to their duties, delegates being instructed to bring before their Courts the need of secretaries being more prompt in sending returns. Questions were raised as to payments made of the benevolent funds, it being announced that all payments were made after each case had been decided on its merits. It being generally recognised that the district secretary Bro. Tunbridge was doing excellent wosk, it was resolved to increase his salary by £25 per annum, whilst the treasurer, Bro. Cattley, was granted an increase of £5. The next meeting will be held at Waitara in August. The election of officers resulted: D.C.R. Bro. Coleman, S.D.C.R. Bro. Draper, D.V. Bro. Harvey. In D.B. Bros. Rogers and Kivell wejre nominated, and a tie resulted, the toss of a coin favoring Bro. Kivell. P.D.C.R. Bro. J. Andrews was presented with a P.D.C.V. jewel.
