WAS SHORT OF MONET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. Walton Garwood clerk of the Court at Temuka, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s Court to-day to charges of fraudulently converting to his own use 17s, a fine of 20/- and a plaint fee paid to him. In reply to the charge, he said his Wife had been ill and had died and left three children. He was short of money and took these sums, meaning to return them. He was fined £lO on each charge, with costs totalling £27.
