While a party was returning from a picnic in a launch on the Brisbane river on Sunday night, an awning on which they were sitting collapsed. Most of them were thrown into the water, and Rita Gilling, Leonard Crozier and William McGuire, all single, were drown-ed.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
