FRENCH MURDERER’S END. By Telegraph.- -Preas Asan.—Copyright. Received Feb. 26, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Feb. 25; Landru was executed this morning at Versailles. He passed a restless nighty but was sound asleep when the Governor* entered his cell at 5.45 a.m. He dressed quietly and refused a chaplain’s administration. He said: “I repeat that lam innocent.” He then walked the few yards to the scaffold. Only officials and pressmen were present and tha streets leading to the scene were barricaded. —Aus.-N.Z.
