The jury in|fthe Tirtschke case, after two retirements, returned a verdict of guilty and Ross was sentenced to death. When asked if he had anything to eay he shouted and still maintained he was innocent and that his life had been sworn away by desperate people, and he would appeal. Ross looked drawn and flushed, in marked contrast to his earlier appearance.
