PROBABLE PAYMENT BY BONDS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Washington, Feb. 22. It is learned that President Harding told members of the House Ways and Means Committee he has high hopes that by July 1 Britain will hand over to the United States more than a billion dollars ( £200,000,000) of bonds to refund part of the war debt. The sales of these securities will provide the funds necessary to pay the soldiers’ bonus.
