The final section of the Geddes Economy Committee’s report will be published during the week-end. It deals with the post office, the stationery office, foreign affairs and law expenses, and recommends savings of about £16,000,000. In the House of Commons, Mr. Austen Chamberlain said the Government had allocated a day next week for a discussion on the Geddes report as a whole, when he would make a considered statement.
