AMERICA’S RESERVATIONS. * By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 23, 7.40 p.m. Washington, Feb. 22. Senator Lodge is appealing to President Harding in an effort to stave off the adoption of reservations regarding the Four Power Pacific Treaty. Senator Lodge prevented a vote by the Foreign Relations Committee on Senator Brandegee’s reservations by announcing that he wanted to discuss the reservations with the President. Senator Johnson presented to the Foreign Relations Committee the reservations in the Pacific Treaty, which limit a signatory Power’s rights to be undisputed by any other Power, it being understood in any present or future dispute regarding the validity of rights the Powers may reserve full liberty of judgment.—Aus.-N-Z.
