CROQUET.

TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. The Hawera ladies express unqualified appreciation of the way the Taranaki tournament at New Plymouth was conducted (says the Star). In Mrs. Morrison, organising secretary to the Taranaki Association, they had a lady with exceptional organising ability, and, assisted by a strong committee, she conducted the tournament excellently. Every detail was carefully planned, and the whole conduct of the tournament was all that could be desired. The visiting ladies were greatly pleased with the treatment they received, and will remember the 1922 New Plymouth croquet tournament—the first held In the province—as one of their most enjoyable experiences.
