UNION FUNDS.

CASE AGAINST JOHN ARBUCKLE. SOME CHARGES WITHDRAWN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Feb. 22. John Arbuckle was again before the Court to-day, charged with the theft of union funds. Arbuckle, from the box, said: “The position is this. I can get £5OO, and no more. I could report to the police once or twice a day. The circumstances of my going to Australia can be explained later. I was not trying to run away from anything.” The Magistrate fixed the bail at '£7so with two sureties of £375, accused to report to the police once a day.
