SENSATIONAL ENGAGEMENT.
OF MULTI-MILLIONAIRE'S DAUGHTER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—copyright. New York, Feb. 20. Harold McCormick, multi-millionaire, of Chicago, has announced the engagement of his eixteen-year-old daughter, Mathilda, grand-daughter of John D. Rockefeller, to Max Oser, a riding master, of Zurich, Switzerland, who is 57 years old. Miss Mathilda. McCormick recently returned from Switzerland and astounded society ‘by intimating that she loved the poor horseman. Family conference® were held, resulting in the formal approval of the engagement. It is understood that the family consent is conditional on Oser coming to America to live, this being a concession to Mr. Rockefeller, who boasted that no fortune-hunting Europeans had ever married into his family.
