NEW PLYMOUTH SHOW.
Intending exhibitors at the above important fixture are once more, reminded that entries will close on Friday next, 24th inst., at 9 p.m. Those who have not already received a schedule should lose no time in sending for one. Classes are available for horses, cattle, sheep and pigs, and competitions for riding, driving, leaping, and cow judging, each of which is endowed with liberal prizemoney. Valuable trophies, gold medals and certificates of merit are also to be awarded points prize winners and champion animals. There is no need to enlarge upon the service this well known society gives exhibitors, it is quite sufficient to say that efforts are being made to retain, and if possible, improve the long standing reputation the society has for assisting exhibitors in every way possible. The accommodation for stock needs little mention as exhibitors at previous shows will know that this is equal to anything in the Dominion, but it might be mentioned that since last show one more cattle pavilion has been roofed in, making a total of three large and up-to-date pavilions providing sufficient cover for all the dairy cattle. Arrangements for making the show a complete success are well in hand. So as to obviate any rush during show week a working bee is to be held on Wednesday next, commencing at 10 a.m., when it is hoped that the bulk of the preliminary arrangements will be completed. Exhibitors are asked to make their entries as early as possible so as to assist in the preparation o-f the official catalogue. They are also urged to forward their entries not later than Friday next, which is the closing day for all entries.
