FRANCE EXPELS UNDESIRABLES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Paris. Feb. 18. The Government has expelled Jean Xydias, a Russian banker, and Anetra, an Austrian barrister, both reputedly of Bolshevik tendencies, in connection with the campaign of financial defamation in France. RUSSIAN MONEY IN BRITAIN. London, Feb. 19. Mr. Thomas, Labor M.P., speaking at Sheffield, said Russian money was coming to this country and being used by the ,Communist Party. He was going to see that the British public had full details. VALUABLE PAINTINGS FOUND. Paris, Feb. 19. Twenty canvases by Millet, the painter of the famous “Angelus,” have been discovered in the attic of the Town Hall of Cherbourg, of which town he was a native. They are estimated to be worth at least £2OOO apiece. Officials from the Louvre have gone to Cherbourg to prevent the paintings leaving France.
