The best maten of the day was that between Greenwood and , Swanston, the latter giving a fine display of accurate driving. ODivier outclassed Salmond and Wilding was too clever for Andrews. In the doubles Salmond and Parker had one set in and were 5—3 against Wilding and Aitken, but the Canterbury team rallied and took tte match. Scores;— Singles.—Greenwood lost to.
