TEST OF MEAT.
AUSTRALIAN BEFORE ARGENTINE. THE EXPERTS DECEIVED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —CopyrTght. London, Feb. 16. London is laughing at, the experience of the meat experts whom Sir Joseph Cook entertained at luncheon at Australia House. Sir Joseph Cook provided three ribs of Australian, Scotch and Argentine beef, which were privately marked, the experts not knowing the country of origin. They were requested to taste and place the beef in order of merit. Four voted the Scotch first, the Australian second, and the Argentine third. Three voted the Scotch first, the Argentine second, and the Australian third. The significance is .that the Argentine was two months old; but. the Australian two years or three years, yet preference was given to the Australian, notwithstanding the suggestions from some quarters that long storage resulted in great deterioration.
