SUPREME COURT SITTINGS. CASES AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Supreme Court Leonard Nelson, ’charged with attempting to steal a lady’s handbag, was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay £lO toward the cost of the prosecution. , x . , . William Curson, for assaulting his wife's mother, was ordered to come up for sentence at the next sitting. More serious charges against accused were thrown out by the Grand Jury. A young man, Norman James Walsh, was sentenced, to three years’ imprisonment for an unnatural offence. Judge Stringer said had he not “ ee “ satisfied prisoner was drunk he would have ordered a flogging.
