TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. ’ '(the FINALS TO-DAY. The handicap doubles in the Taranaki croquet tournament being played on the Park Club’s lawns have been concluded, the winners being Mrs. Harrison and Miss Norman, scratch players. The championships and the teams match have yet to be concluded. The Weather was beautifully fine again yesterday, and it is hoped that the play will finish this afternoon, after which the presentation of prizes will take place, though it is more than likely that the championship singles will have to be held over till Monday. Teams of six players, representing New Plymouth, Park, Waitara, Fitzroy and Hawera, entered In the teams match, and the final rests now between New Plymouth and Hawera, who play off to-day, the winner being the best of three games. The final of the championship doubles, on the same conditions, is set down for 9 a.m. to-day. The tournament so . far has proved most successful. Details of yesterday’s play are: HANDICAP DOUBLES.
