STRATFORD AGENCY. Advertisements and items of news for publication in the Taranaki Dally News should be left at the office of our local representatives, Wilson Bios., Stratford. The final meeting of the Tyrer Testimonial Committee was held in the .Stratford Borough Council Chambers last even i; His Worship the Mayor (Mr. J. . McMillan) presiding. A balance-sheet was presented by the hon. secretary (Mr. P. Skoglund), and it was •decided that after the payment of all expenses in connection with the social gathering and the illuminated album (which is expected to be completed in a few days’ time) a cheque for the balance is to be handed to Mr. Tyrer. Votes of thanks were recorded to all who assisted in connection with the big function in the Town Hall, which is was unanimously agreed was an unqualified success. This opinion was also borne cut by a letter from Mr. F. C. Bowler, on behalf of the old pupils, thanking the presentation committee for all they had done towards making the gathering the tremendous success it had been. A special vote of thanks was accorded Mr. P. Skoglund for his services as secretary to the committee.
