A PROFESSOR'S IMPRESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Feb. 15. Professor Atkinson, of Melbourne University, interviewed on his return from the Russian famine area, stated that the horrors of the famine were infinitely more intense than the worst phase during the war. It was utterly untrue that food intended for relief was diverted to the army. The Soviet was doing its best, but Professor Atkinson said he was convinced that the famine was caused by the Soviet's requisition of the food reserves of the peasants.
