TARANAKI’S EXPORTS. That the exports from Taranaki during the year 1921 should have amounted to nearly five and a half millions in value is matter for much congratulation. The value of wool, hides and tallow suffered a very large drop in price—nearly half a million—while meat was less in value by about thirty-five thousand pounds. Under the circumstances it was decidedly stimulating to have exported produce the total value of which, was £1,3'20,541 greater than in the previous year, the output representing more t-han double the average per head of population for the whole of the Dominion.
