AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. Auckland, Last Night. Sales on the Stock Exchange to-day were: War Loan (1938), £BB 7s 6d; Soldiers’ Inscribed Stock, £94 12s 6d and £94 10s; Bank of New Zealand, 48s; South British Insurance, 335; Auckland Gas, 20s »d, contributing 16s 9d; Grand Junction, 6s 9d. LONDON STOCK MARKET. Received Feb. 15, 5.5 p.m.
London, Feb. 14. Gilt-edged stocks are very firm, especially recent colonial Issues. New South Wales are quoted at 47s 6d premium. Commonwealth 70s, South Australian 82s 6d. Walhl Junction shares 6a; Dalgety 675. BUTTER AND CHEESE. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. have received a cablegram from Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., London, dated February 10, advising as follows: Danish butter, 184 s; New Zealand butter, salted, 138 s to 140 s (134 s to 140 s) ; New Zealand cheese, white, 92s to 94s (92s to 945) ; New Zealand cheese, colored, 98s to 100 s (98s to 100 s). Good Inquiry. Danish butter, nominal quotation. Butter market firm owing to temporary shortage of supplies from the Continent.
