SHACKLETON’S FUNERAL.
DEPARTURE FOR GEORGIA. By Telegraph.—-Press Assn. —Copyright. London, Feb. 14. Captain Hussey, cabling from Monte Video, says that a State funeral will be accorded Sir. E. Shackleton on the ’lsth, which is the explorer's birthday. Uruguayan troops will line the streets and all the diplomatic officers will attend.. some coming from Buenos Ayres The President of Uruguay (Dr. Brum) will meet the cortege at the wharf, where the highest military and naval honors will be rendered. The body will be embarked at noon on the whaler Woodville, which will leave for South Georgia, where Sir E. Shackleton is to be buried, Uruguayan warships giving a salute of 19 guns and escorting her through the territorial waters. Received Feb. 15, 5.5 p.m. Monte Video, Feb. 14. Sir Ernest Shackleton’s, remains wdre transferred to the Anglican Church, where the funeral service will be held to-morrow, after which the body will be conveyed to the dock between files of Uruguayan troops. The Foreign Minister (Dr. Buero) will deliver a eulogy over the body.
