The Daily Express understands that the main points Lord Allenby is urging for the future administration of Egypt are: British troops to evacuate Cairo and Alexandria. The British to garrison the canal at Kantara, Port Said and Ellubi. Britain to retain the air station at Aboukir. The abolition of capitulations. Britain to be responsible for foreign interests in Egypt. The Soudan to retain its present status for four years, when the question will be reviewed. The abolition of the High Commissionership and the substitution of a Consular-General similar to Lord Kitchener’s time. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
