BLAZE AT INVERCARGILL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill. Feb. 13. A two-storied brick buildVjg tit Avenal, occupied by Muriel Brewer, fruiterer, and R. Bickingham, grocer, was completely gutted by fire early this morning. Practically nothing was saved. THE DAMAGE AT AUCKLAND. Auckland, Feb. 13. The damage by fire to the premises of John Burns, Limited, is estimated at £lO,OOO the greater part being on the stock. The buildings are insured for £22,000 and the stock for £140,000 in the Queensland Insurance Company. The work of assessing the damage is not complete.
