BOWLING.
TARANAKI CENTRE. VISIT TO AUCKLAND. Correspondence has been received by the Taranaki Bowling Centre from the Auckland Centre stating that it will he quite convenient if the Taranaki touring team leaves for Auckland on February 28. Arrangements ' will therefore be made accordingly, the team leaving New Plymouth by the Rarawa on the evening of the date named. It has been decided that nominations from those desirous of making the trip must reach the secretary, Mr. A. T. Moore, New Plymouth, on or before Saturday, the 18th Inst. The selectors appointed at the annual meeting of the centre will then select the team, and this will be published as earls’ as possible afterwards. The Auckland centre is also endeavoring to arrange a match Taranaki v. South Auckland centre at. Auckland during the tour, and matches will also be arranged against Auckland clues on similar lines to those when Taranaki visited Auckland two seasons ago.
WANGANUI TOUR. The Wanganui Centre has been unable to arrange its visit to Taranaki for the date originally agreed upon and under the circumstances fresh nominations will be called for when the date has been definitely arranged. NEW PLYMOUTH v. WEST END. ArriYngements have been made for a friendly game between the New Plymouth and West End Clubs on the West End green this afternoon. The following will represent New Plymouth: Taylor. .Morton, Wood, Thomson (s) ; Hoby, Harvey, Valentine, Griffin (s) ; Mace, Robertshaw, Weller, H. Smart (s) ; Ambury, Griffin, Luseombe, Firth (s) ; Beatson, Dempsey, Cock, Johnson (s).
