TIRTSCHKE TRAGEDY.

DEATH OF THE GIRL’S FATHER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 10, 10.10 pjn. Melbourne, Feb. 10. At an inquest on Harry Tirtschke (father of Alma Tirtschke, the girl murdered in Melbourne), who was found shot recently, the coroner found that deceased was accidentally shot by his nephew.

Tirtschke went out shooting with his nephew, who was using a Winchester rifle. The nephew missed his uncle soon after starting, and failed to find him. Search parties next day discovered Tirtschke dead, with a bullet wound through his neck. The nephew denied any knowledge of the cause of his uncle’s death, and the supposition is that a stray bullet killed him.
