INCREASE AT AUCKLAND SALE. VERY SPIRITED BIDDING. By Teletraph.—Press Amo elation Auckland, Last N«ht. The second wool sale of the season was held to-day, when 10,000 bales were offered. Buyers representing Bradford, Continental and American houses, local woollen mills and scourers and Americans were active. Bidding was most spirited fromthe start, prices advancing a penny to ' twopence all round, and up to threepence * in isolated cases, compared with the last Auckland sales. The wool is well up to the Auckland standard. Following is the range of prices (Auekland December rates in parentheses): Merino, 16£d; halfbred, 12Jd to 14id; Corriedale, 131<1; Shropshire, ll|d to 12|d; fine crossbred super, lid to 12d (9d to 113 d); fine crossbred average, Od to lOd (644 to 7Jd); medium crossbred super, 83d to 9d (s}d to 6|d); medium crossbred average, 7d to 83d (9d to lid); coarse crossbred super, 6d to 7d (4id to 53d); coarse crossbred average, 53d to fid (4d to 4sd) i low crossbred, 4sd to 5d (3d to 3fd); low seedy, 2ld to 33d; medium hogget, 7a tp 8d (5d to 6sdl; coarse hoggpt, 5d to 63d (4d to 4Jd); lambs’ super, Sd to fi3d (83d); lambs’, medium, 6d to 7d (3d to 43d) ; seedy and inferior, 2d to 4d (Id to l|d); bellies and pieces fine super, 5d to fid (43); medium, 3d to 4d (2jd to 3d); inferior, Id to 2d (Id to l$d); locks, Id to l*d (id to ML.. .
