RACES IN AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —CopyrTgb,. Sydney, Feb. 6. In a cycling pursuit race, just under three miles, Kaltenbrun overhauled W. Coppins, the State one mile champion, in 7min. 4sec. In a. special match 'in the first heat of a quarter of a mile, Thursfield defeated Hannan, ten miles Australasian champion, by six Inches. The second heat of half a mile was won by Hanpan by three-quarters of a wheel. The third heat of one untie was won by Thursfield by six inches, ano ne thus won the match.

The five miles international scratch race resulted: Coppins 1, Kaltenbrun 2, Burness 3. Time, 12min. 16 l-ssec. Thursfield was not placed.
