The Observer's Moscow correspondent states on the highest authority that a decree shortly be issued abolishing the extraordinary commission to combat the counter revolution which, since 1917, has been responsible for the imprisonment and execution of many •thousands of people. The commission’s own statistics, covering a period of 19 months, showed that 86,893 people had *been arrested, and 10,153 executed. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
