A BENEFIT MATCH. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyrigtt. Received Feb. 3, 11.30 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 3. A benefit match for Frank Iredale, Australia against the rest of Australia, was cominenced in fine weather and on a i good wicket. Armstrong co ntained Australia, it being his last appearance in big cricket. The Rest of Australia, in their first innings, made 393 (O’Keefe 177, Love 28, Barbour 20, Willis 133, Lampard 21 not out).
Bowling analysis.—Gregory, . seven for 95; Macdonald, two for 95.
O’Keefe gave a brilliant and chanceless innings, his score being principally gained by powerful driving, with practically only one bad strike. Willis also batted attractively, scoring at a rapid rate.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
