The Eltham Thursday cricket team went to Midhirst on Thursday and secured a threepoint win. Batting first Midhirst made 29 (Richmond 16). Bain ‘ook seven wickets for 9 runs and J. Walker three for 19. Eltham replied with 70 (Davies 14. Walker .2, Bain 14, and Shipton 13). Witheford was the most successful bowler, taking five for 19. In the second attempt Midhirst mnde 75 (Snookes 28, Green 10). Bain took five wickets for 27, Walker two for 6, and Davies three for 26. Eltham knocked up the necessary runs for the loss of three wickets,. Walker making 28 not out.
