Barrett, chairman of the management committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council, announces that owing to unexpected difficulties, the proposed visit of an Australian team to the Dominion will not take place this year. A meeting of the Cricket Board of Control inquired into Mr. Armstrong's charges or betting on matches in England.
