Tim programme provided by the Clifton Football Club sports committee has brought large entries in each race, and it is expected that there will be close finishes. It is reported that Mr. Bryant, of Raglan, has given a farm fronting on the ocean near Raglan and a large sum of money to provide a convalescent home for sick children whose parents are in poor circumstances.
Mr. A. H. Hawkins, after two months’ holiday, resumed his managerial duties at the Bank of New Zealand on Monday. Mr. Leys, who has been relieving, leaves for Kimbolton on Wednesday.
