The break in the Whenuakura bridge is a great inconvenience to travellers, especially just now when so many are returning from holiday trips. The local school re-opens on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Bary are home again after spending the holidays at Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Clark, of Wellington, have been spending a few weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Lambie. Miss Cathie Lambie is on a visit to Hamilton. Miss Ngaire Astbury has returned to Wanganui after spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. D. L. A. Astbury. We sympathise with Mr. C. Nicholas in the loss of his father recently.
