FIRES.
FARM HOMESTEAD DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Jan. 31. Mr. Harold Johnson’s homestead at Waitahora, a nine-roomed wooden structure, was completely destroyed by fire on Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were absent on holiday at the time. The house was valued at £2500 and the contents at between £l2OO and £l3OO. The homestead was insured in the National Office for £l3OO and the furniture and contents for £750 in the same office.
