RAILWAY ECONOMY.
PROTEST FROM INVERCARGILL. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. A meeting of business people adopted a resolution strongly protesting against the proposed elimination of the Christchurch — Invercargill express under the railway economy scheme, asserting that the saving effected would be insignificant and far outweighed by the loss and inconvenience to Southland; also claiming the right to at least three trains weekly each way.
