INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Jan. 30. Some twenty members of the Eltham Brass Band visited Inglewood on Sunday, and, under the direction of Bandmaster Beasley, rendered a very much appreciated musical programme at the sports ground during the afternoon. Unfortunately the weather conditions were not altogether favorable, for though the afternoon was fairly fine the rain of Saturday night had left the ground too moist for thorough enjoyment. Nevertheless there was a fair audience, one which would probably have been considerably larger had it been clearly made known beforehand that the carnival candidate in whose support the band was working, was Inglewood orn, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Taylor, formerly well and popularly known here, and many of whose relatives have been identified with the growth of Inglewood since its infancy. Besides the members of the band there were quite a number of other visitors from Eltham, amongst them being Mr. and Mrs. A. Taylor, who were welcomed by many old friends.
