President Harding, in opening the National Agricultural Conference, recommended the extension of farmers’ co-operative marke: g organisations, with provision for greater working capital for the farmers as a measure to prevent violent price fluctuations. He declared th°t if the nation fails to aid the farmer it will precipitate a disaster that will affect every industrial and commercial activity.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
