WASHINGTON’S ACHIEVEMENTS. REAL POLICY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Jan. 22, 5.5 p.m. Honolulu, Jan. 20. Prince Tokugawa, in a speech, said if the Washington Conference had not accomplished more than the Four Power Treaty it would have been no small achievement, but it did far more —it brought Far Eastern problems nearer solution and demonstrated to the world that Japan wants peace and not war. It secured peace for ten years, u period which, it seems probable, will be prolonged indefinitely.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
