CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, Last Night. The Hutt Valley Gun Club held a meeting to-day, when a £lOO clay pigeon handicap was decided. Duncan Fraser, ex-New Zealand champion, competed, and secured the possible in the second nomination. In the first nomination Edwards (Hutt) made the possible. There was no actual winner, and the prize money was divided between Fraser (Te Kuiti), O’Connell (Petone), Edwards (Hutt) and Donovan (Petone). DIFFICULTY WITH SEAMEN. Christchurch, Last Night. It is reported that the Kaitoke, which is timed to leave for Newcastle at noon to-morrow, may be held up, as twenty members of the crew refused to sign the articles owing to section 43 of the agreement relating to the increase in wages not being included. The local manager of the Union Company states the articles will be signed tomorrow.
The difficulty with the crew of the steamer Kaitoke over the question of wages has been settled, and the crew will sign on. The increases will be in the terms of section 43 of the agreement.
