SENSATIONAL PLOT.
NOBLE FAMILY CHARGED. THE SON’S CONFESSION. By Telegraph.— Press Assn —\jopvrlght. Berlin, Jan. 19. At’ the Schlieffer trial, Hans Schlieffer gave evidence that he was always against murdering the old Count, because that would only mean that his son would inherit a fortune. He wanted to murder the son, and paid Roessel 20,000 marks, out of 500,000 promised to be paid when he inherited the estates. Roessel went twice to Schlieffer burg to carry out the plot, but failed to do so because the circumstances were unfavorable. Hans informed his mother of the plans and she opposed the murder. Roessel subsequently demanded more money and Hans could not comply with the demands. . Roessel then sent another of the prisoners prepared with a plan to shoot the Count and his son. This did not eventuate, and an accomplice disclosed the plot.— Times Service.
