INFLUENZA IN BRITAIN.

There are eight thousand influenza cases in the single mining district of Balina, Monmouthshire, out. of sixteen thousand inhabitants. There have been a number of deaths, mostly children. In many houses every inmate is stricken, the cases being of a very severe type.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
