INFLUENZA IN BRITAIN.
VERY SEVERE TYPE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Jan. 19, 10.30 p.m. London, Jan. 19. There are eight thousand influenza cases in the single mining district of Balina, Monmouthshire, out. of sixteen thousand inhabitants. There have been a number of deaths, mostly children. In many houses every inmate is stricken, the cases being of a very severe type.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
